The Omega Awakes: TRU’s Campus Newspaper Enters a New Chapter

On April 10, 2025, in Kamloops, The Omega, has big plans for TRU’s student newspaper. They will celebrate the relaunch of The Omega Newspaper with a grand cocktail event at Thompson Rivers University at the Grand Hall in Campus Activity Centre. Starting at 6:00PM to 8:30 PM, the event will have amazing entertainment, networking, and the much awaited preview of the newspaper’s new content. 

Live performances by TRU students will surely create an energetic and engaging atmosphere for guests. Student artists such as AronK, Bruno Dos Santos, and DJ Bishop will perform their singles and keep the good vibes for the event. All guests will also enjoy a carefully curated cocktail menu by Intensely Delicious. They will be offering both vegetarian and meat-lovers  options, ensuring a delightful culinary experience. 

As part of this relaunch, The Omega is going more international as ever. They will be introducing a new weekly special segment featuring cultural insights, fun facts, and special interviews that challenge stereotypes. This new and special feature aims to foster the sense of community and inclusivity at TRU students. Additionally, exclusive video reports will be showcased during the event, highlighting key stories and interviews from The Omega’s latest coverage.

The event will welcome The Omega’s team, members of CFBX, TRU journalism and media professors and students from the bachelor’s in communication.
